100 Debates on the Environment – Cowichan-Malahat-Langford

100 Debates on the Environment is a national initiative to hold non-partisan all-candidates debates on the environment in 100 ridings across Canada on October 3rd.

What are your concerns about the environment and climate change, especially in our riding, as we head into a federal election? All Candidates Debate will be livestreamed to Gordon United Church in Langford from Duncan so that you can ask your questions and concerns to your riding’s federal candidates about their party’s plans to address increasing climate impacts here in our riding, across the country and around the world.   For more information – www.100debates.ca

Monday Study Group starts Sept 23 – will meet from 1pm to 3pm in the Peggy Williamson Lounge (across from the sanctuary) beginning Sept 23. This fall we will be exploring “Boundless Compassion: Creating a Way of Life” –a book and video series on expanding our capacity for compassion.  It is rooted in Christian faith but written for a variety of spiritual and faith traditions, and is open to all.  If there is interest in an evening group, please speak to Rev.
